Enjoy a visit to Hammerwood Park this summer at just £5 each for Summer 2026!
Grade 1-listed Hammerwood Park was built by Benjamin Latrobe (1764-1820) in the spectacular Sussex countryside, echoing the ancient temples at Paestum in Italy, pregnant with arcane symbolism and hidden meaning. Latrobe was known in America for designing the porticos of the White House and building the Washington D.C. Capitol. After ownership by Led Zepellin, since 1982 the house has been saved from dereliction by the Pinnegar family, restoring it as a home and welcoming visitors for guided tours, teas and concerts in the summer season.
The concerts at the house lead a movement to restore the original tuning of pianos to make classical music more interesting again. Today, as well as providing a venue for concerts and filming, the house and gardens are open to the public in summer!

Hammerwood can be found 3.5 miles east of East Grinstead, or 10 miles west of Tunbridge Wells, on the A264 (Holtye Road). Hammerwood Park is clearly signposted; once you have turned off the A road, continue down the village lane and past the pond, up the hill. You will then pass a cricket pitch on your left; the right turn to the house is signposted after 200yds.

Opening times can be found here. Visits must be taken between June 1 and September 30 2026. No prior booking is required, though you will need to bring your email confirmation with you in a printed or electronic format.
